10 Things

I was looking through old albums the other day and came across this layout of my son Derek from 2002. He was 5 and I wanted to document the things I would miss when he grew up.

It got me thinking about how many of these things he actually still does now that it's 10 years later and is a teenager.  It was a great inspiration for this layout :)

He's growing up and I l don't want him too....lol  But I know I need to let him....sigh...

Journaling Reads

Hearing you call me Mommy. -I only hear this now when you want something...

Your finger prints on the walls. They used to be so cute when you were little, now not so much.

Cuddles on the couch. -This doesn't happen often enough but I love it when it does.

Your small hand in mine. -Now your hand is bigger than mine, you are growing into a man.

The pictures you used to make for my office. - I miss these a lot.

The way you used to greet me when I got home from work. - Those hugs were the best...I still get hugs but not often enough.

Leaving cookies for Santa and his Reindeer. – Now you just eat all the cookies yourself....lol

Watching the Dinosaur movie with you. – We still have the same taste in movies :D

The goofy faces you make for pictures. – I'm lucky if I get a picture of you now.

Hearing I love you at least 10 times a day. - Now I'm lucky if it's 10 times a month.

You are growing up so fast bud. I'm afraid of missing so much. You are 15 now and as much as I know you are growing into a man I still see you as my little boy and it's so hard to let go. Let me hold on for just a little while...

Of course I did another CSI Challenge, I love these.

Pattern paper used is Mustard Moon, Basic Grey and Chatterbox
Letter stickers are American Crafts, Cosmo Cricket and Wordsworth
Number stamp is Studio Calico
Used up a lot of Ribbon scraps to create my "little man"... I think I may be done with these now....lol

Thanks for stopping by :)
