Remember The Other One

I started this layout almost a year ago and finally got it finished this weekend.  It's an old beat up photo of my Dad and my youngest Daughter from about 15 years ago.  My Dad and I were not close and he only saw my children a handful of times.  For some reason when Mackenzie was born my dad would always refer to her as "the other one" and never called her by name until we went out to visit him when she was about two.  Of course after meeting her and seeing her charm he was smitten with her and from then on always remembered to call her by name.

Background is made from scraps of paper and ribbon and some old border stickers.  The heart is a slice pattern, letter stickers are American Crafts and the sequins can be found here Studio Calico

Thanks for stopping by :)
