Always and Forever my Little Girls

I combined quite a few challenges for this layout.  CSI is out with Challenge #74, no going to lie when I first saw the colours I went UGH....way out of the norm for me and way out of my comfort zone but I still gave it a shot and I'm LOVING how the layout came out!  I combined the challenge with the Studio Calico weekly challenge to use water colours.  Had so much fun playing with those.  I used them to "splat" heart overlay in the background.  I also used them to make the title and the crumpled banner to add a bit of texture to the page, I think I'm going to be experimenting lots with these :)  I also found a new site over the weekend called Scrap That! they also have some great challenges and I participated in the Long Title Challenge and will popping back in later in the month to join some other fun challenges!

This is my girlies last August on Mackenzie's 17th Birthday.  Yes they are wearing party hats, hence the title (but in all honesty I will always see them as my little girls...sigh)

All pattern paper is Chatterbox for the Chatterbox challenge on the 2peas message boards.
Letter Stamps and Ribbon are Making Memories
Wooden Buttons and Flair are American Crafts
Used my Cricut to make the heart overlay

Thanks for stopping by and I hope everyone has enjoyed their weekend!

Great page. I love what you did with the title and how you used the older papers in such a trendy way.

Gorgeous. I love the heart cutout background and how it seems to float above the bottom layer.

Beautiful layout! I love the mask you created, it really does a nice job of toning down the business of the pattered paper, yet still keeping it focused, if that makes any sense! LOL TFS :)
