Cinderella ain't got nothing on this girl ;)

Just finished this layout.  I wanted to create something girly, flirty and fun :)  This is my oldest daughter at her Prom last year.  She went Solo with a couple of her girlfriends from school and then afterwards they had an old fashioned girl sleepover.  She had a blast!

Combined a few challenges for this one :)  I took part in Scrap That's colour challenge from Sandy  and combined it with Glitter Girls challenge to use up larger embellishments   LOVING how it came out!  I had a few hiccups along the way.  I originally wanted to use some foam glitter paper that I had and cut out the title with my cricut but alas the foam was too thick :(  I then tried cutting out the title with some specialty paper that had pink and silver swirls but it got all mangled up (very disappointed).  I improvised and sprayed some Mr. Huey's silver on somee American Crafts fabric stickers.  That same Mr. Huey's silver ended up in a big blob on the bottom of the layout, so voila we now have a border ;)  Overall though, I'm very satisfied with how this layout came out!

Mixed up some older product with some new :)

Pattern paper and Thickers are American Crafts
Small heart stickers and flower border strip (which I used water colours to make a darker pink and splat white paint on) are Doodlebug
Large heart stickers are Provo Craft
Small white flower is Stickopotomus
Sequins and Silver Mr. Huey's is Studio Calico

Happy Friday Everyone!!

Kim

Thanks for sharing the few set backs you had, it's nice to know I'm not alone in spilling ink and mangling paper in my machine ;)

I love all of the color and whimsy. Thanks for sharing about your trouble with the cricut. I haven't used it on foam but would love to. what settings did you use? did you use a deep blade? I am going to do some research to see if anyone has has success because it would be great for titles!

You're not alone - I also had a bunch of accidents and troubles while scrapping today! I think you've done a great job of just going with the flow and making a fun page even with all the struggles. That yellow ribbon trim is super cute, too.
