Couldn't find any vellum so I used one of the glassine bags that the embellies came in for a quote I found on pinterest. For the wood veneer I found this cool Gold Sharpie at Walmart and I used that to colour the letters.
I've been wanting to make a pinwheel embellishment for some time now and found these directions on Martha's Stewart's blog so easy to follow!
- First I cut a 2" square
- Then I added my water colours
- I found the center of the square marked, used my pencil and ruler to make a line from the corner to half a centimeter from the center of the square
- I then used my micro circle punch to punch holes in every other other and in the center of the square. If you don't have a micro circle punch a needle will do.
- Fold in the corners with the holes and match them with the one in the center, fasten with a brad and voila a cute little pinwheel accent for your page :)
I think you'll definitely be seeing more of these accents from me!
Thanks for stopping by and I hope you all had a good weekend!
